Three Things I Already Know About WWII: 1. It was a war between the Axis and the Allies. 2. Italy, Japan, and Germany were the Axis powers. 3. We were being neutral until Japan decided to bomb Pearl Harbor and bring us into it.
I know that Hitler killed over 6 million jews, Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin were dictators and allies, and I know that the U.S. joined WWII after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.
1. Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japanese planes in 1941. 2. Adolf Hitler was fuhrer of Germany. 3. America wasn't involved in the war until the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
I know that 1.Adolf Hitler was the leader of Germany 2.We were against Gernamy in the war 3.The bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japan got the US involeved in the war.
1.) WWII was the first war that involved Nuclear warfare. 2.) WWII was started without the US and we stayed out of it until an attack on our soil. 3.) WWII involved a genocide of Jews in Germany.

This war destroyed more land, property then any war before this and also had one of the highest total deaths in war history.
1.The youngest U.S. serviceman was a 12-year-old Calvin Graham, USN. 2.More U.S. servicemen died in the U.S. Army Air Corps than in the Marine Corps. 3.The German submarine U-120 was sunk by a malfunctioning toilet. 4.Most ww2 deaths were due to famine and disease caused by war.

All three were soon changed for PR purposes. 3.When allied armies reached the Rhine, the first thing men did was pee in it.
Three new facts 1.The war started in 1939 and ended in 1945 2.Its the most widespread and deadliest conflict causing over 70 million fatalities. 3.The war started when Germany and Slovakia invaded Germany.
1.Between 3 and 3.5 million Russian prisoners of war were worked and starved to Death by the Germans. They were not treated to "Hogan's Heroes" types prisons. 2.German Me-264 bombers were capable of bombing New York City, but it wasn’t worth the effort. 3.When the US Army landed in North Africa, among the equipment brought ashore was 3 complete Coca Cola bottling plants. 4.Most members of the Waffen SS were not German. The only nation that Germany declared war on was the USA. 5.The Soviet Army fought 85 percent of the Nazi forces and the Germans were on the run virtually defeaterd before the western allies finally decided to start a second front, after millions were dead.
I learned that: 1.The war in Europe ended with the capture of Berlin by Soviet troops and subsequent German surrender on 8th of May 1945. 2.The start of the war was on the 1st of September 1939, beginning with the German invasion of Poland. 3.60 million people died in the war, including about 20 million soldiers and 40 million civilians.
I learned that 1. The war generally accepted to have begun on September 1, 1939. 2. January 9, 1940 Japs launched an attack against the eastern side of the Santa Rose-Natib defense line on Bataan. 3. January 4th 1942 the Red Army capture Kaluga to the southwest of Moscow.
-Pearl Harbor was bombed on December 7, 1941. -The Nazis were killing millions of Jews as well as anyone who wasn't blonde haired, blue eyed. -The U.S. dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, ending the war.
I learned that WWII resulted in over 55 million deaths worldwide, that D-Day took place on June 6, 1944 and over 150,000 U.S. soldiers landed in France that day, and that WWII started when Germany attacked Poland in 1939.

3. After the war, over 12 million people were displaced. The Allies established a program called United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration to help relocated displaced people.
The US Army had more ships that the US Navy. The highest ranking American killed was Lt. Gen. Lesley McNair, killed by the US Army Air Corps. The first American serviceman killed was killed by the Russians.
Hitler hated jews because when his mother was ill they hired a jewish doctor that couldnt help his mom so she passed away and then after that he hated them.
